Microsoft has had a piece of software out for a while now that allows you to control multiple PCs from a single mouse/keyboard.  It also allows you to copy and paste text, drag files between computers.

Well, it works great on Windows 8 as well.  No more duplicate sets of mice and keyboards. No hardware boxes to plug in between computers.  Just install and configure it and you can control up to 4 computers at the same time.
