With Windows 10 Mobile you can be sitting at your Windows 10 PC and receive notification of a missed call.  Plus, you can send a text message reply through Cortana, without even picking up your phone.

Until they are released, you're going to need Window 10 Preview Build 10565 and Windows 10 Mobile Preview 10572 for this to work.  Windows 10 Threshold is expected in November 2015 and Windows 10 Mobile in December 2015.
