Moving Your Steam Games–Saved Games, Part 3

Although this isn't really about moving your games to another location, including Windows 8, you should know that some games look like they need to be downloaded.  Steam will shown them as ‘download paused’.

 

The truth is, they probably need to be saved in Steam's new format. After that, they can be updated.
